Our Purpose

We believe that baking fosters connections. Connections with ourselves, others and the earth. We believe in cultivating community through education. This is our commitment through all we do. When you are a baker, your life is richer.

My love of baking began when I was 18 and out on my own for the first time in college. We had a little kitchen down the hall in the dorm where I began to experiment with simple muffins for my weekend breakfast. Over the years, I would make more advanced pastries and my joy of baking grew. I eventually took professional courses but what I truly was looking for was a place to grow my skills as a home baker.

In my career path, I have been a Yoga Instructor and Physical Therapist Assistant. Each have given me the opportunity to teach which is my true passion. Sharing with others the knowledge I have gained over the years.

This has all fueled my desire to create the baking school. My hope is to fill a void that exists. To offer a space where you, the home baker, can learn and grow. A place where you will create new connections and flourish in your own baking journey.

I look forward to sharing with you all I have learned and will continue to learn.

I began my home baking Journey as a child with my Jewish grandmother. She would encourage me to dig my hands into the dough and immerse myself in the baking experience with all of my senses. She would explain the rich history of each recipe we made and how it pertained to a certain holiday or event we were celebrating. It is one of my favorite childhood memories. Now I have a family of my own and love passing along this same experience and baking knowledge so not to lose it through the generations.

I am excited to bring this same sense of fun and wonder along with a solid understanding of ingredient chemistry and cultural history to our baking classes.
